Can I get my patio door with color outside and white on the inside?

No. Unfortunately, because of the molten state of vinyl during the extrusion manufacturing process, split color vinyl extrusions are not available. However; there are two shades of simulated oak wood grain that can be added to the interior ONLY for an additional charge of $180 per door.

What’s a "Standard Installation"?

A standard installation is replacing an existing standard size 6’ patio door.

What’s included in a "Standard Installation"?

A standard installation includes removal and disposal of the existing 6’ patio door as well as installation of the new door. Wrapping and sealing the exterior trim with form fitted aluminum and 50 year silicone caulk and reinstalling the existing interior trim is also included. Blinds or curtains are also reinstalled at this time.

What’s not included in a "Standard Installation"?

A standard installation does not include new interior or exterior trim. It also does not include interior drywall mud finish work, touch up painting or staining, or any other interior finish work. Most importantly, a standard installation does not include altering the existing rough opening.

What if I need to change the size of the existing opening?

Altering an existing opening can run as little as an extra *$80 - $125 to reduce the width or height by a small amount. This process requires interior and exterior trim modification and/or replacement and possible drywall patching. Widening or raising the height of an opening involves structural modifications that can add significant extra costs. These costs vary according to many factors. Wood frame construction, with wood, vinyl or aluminum exterior siding has a more modest impact on cost than does masonry construction or exterior masonry veneers. The average cost for widening or raising the height of an existing opening can easily run *$300 - $500. Modification of some difficult masonry openings will run substantially more.

What if I need a complete new opening through a wall?

The cost of creating a new opening is similar to, but higher than, widening or raising the height of an existing opening. Plumbing, electrical and heating considerations as well as additional material expense and labor will all have a bearing on finished costs. Generally, the cost for creating a new opening through an existing wall will be approximately *30% - 40% higher than widening or raising the height. Masonry construction will again be higher.

* (All examples do allow for drywall patching, but not for interior drywall mud finishing, painting, interior trim finishing, painting, staining or touch up.)
